Charlotte Brontë (Thornton, UK 21 aprile 1816 - Haworth 31 marzo 1855) è stata una straordinaria scrittrice inglese insieme alle due sorelle, Anne e Emily Jane. L’unica ad essere dotata di uno spiccato senso pratico fu Charlotte, anche la più intraprendente delle tre, che ebbe verso le sorelle un atteggiamento protettivo.
