Lynda La Plante [pseudonimo di Lynda Titchmarsh] (Liverpool, Merseyside, GB 15 marzo 1946) è stata attrice teatrale e televisiva, prima di intraprendere una fortunata carriera di sceneggiatrice, soprattutto per la televisione. È autrice di diversi romanzi, tra cui la trilogia dedicata a LORRAINE PAIGE (
Fredda determinazione,
Sangue freddo e
Cuore freddo, tutti pubblicati da Garzanti),
Bella mafia, poi trasposto in televisione con grande successo, e la serie
Prime Suspect di cui è protagonista la detective Jane Tennison. Vive tra Londra e East Hampton (New York).
